About The Position

This role is onsite at our office in Greensboro, NC on Gallimore Dairy Road. We are located very close to the airport. The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role in providing pharmaceutical care in a closed door facility, focusing on accurate dispensing, medication management, and compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires good problems solving skills, adaptability, good communication skills, critical thinking skills, as well as organizational and leadership abilities. The Staff Pharmacist works collaboratively within a team of pharmacy professionals to ensure the safe, effective, and timely delivery of medications.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of operation.
  • Strong knowledge of drug therapies, compounding practices, and pharmacy law.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to include good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work with other professionals to resolve issues.
  • Strong focus on customer service, quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment and manage tight timelines.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule during peak volume hours.
  • internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret physician orders and prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
  • Dispense medications in accordance with facility protocols and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform medication checks, including drug interaction and allergy screening, prior to dispensing.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, providing guidance and oversight.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all pharmacy activities and maintain accurate medication records.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and assist in the ordering and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Adhere to the implementing of policies and procedures to enhance pharmacy operations and patient safety.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other patient privacy regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities.
