About The Position

The Fulfillment Operations Team Leader at Target is responsible for ensuring a consistent experience for guests by managing the fulfillment team that picks, preps, packs, sorts, and ships products safely and efficiently. This role involves leading a team of hourly team members, focusing on guest service, retail business fundamentals, and process improvements. The position requires planning daily workloads, evaluating team performance, and ensuring all orders are fulfilled to meet delivery and service standards. The Team Leader will also demonstrate a culture of safety, compliance, and inclusivity while supporting the overall goals of the store.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
• Model, train, and coach expectations to deliver the service standard.

• Utilize workload planning tools to ensure all scheduled workload is completed.
• Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve.
• Create daily plans for your team with direction from your leader.
• Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions.
• Support onboarding and establish clear goals around quality and accuracy.
• Ensure timely ordering and stocking of supplies.
• Lead and demonstrate a culture of safety and compliance.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
• Model creating a welcoming experience for guests.
