The Fulfillment Operations Team Leader at Target is responsible for ensuring a consistent experience for guests by managing the fulfillment team, which picks, preps, packs, sorts, and ships products safely and efficiently. This role involves leading a team of hourly team members, focusing on guest service, retail business fundamentals, and process improvements. The position requires planning daily workloads, evaluating team performance, and ensuring all orders are fulfilled to meet delivery and service standards. The Team Leader will also be involved in training, coaching, and developing team members while maintaining a culture of safety and compliance.

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
  • Model, train, and coach expectations to deliver the service standard.
  • Lead the team to drive fulfillment goals and support sales growth.
  • Utilize workload planning tools to ensure all scheduled workload is completed.
  • Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop plans to resolve them.
  • Create daily plans for the team with direction from the leader.
  • Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pickup and ship from store workload.
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions.
  • Support onboarding and establish clear goals around quality and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely ordering and stocking of supplies.
  • Demonstrate inclusivity and create equitable experiences.
  • Lead a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Model execution of physical security processes.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and order pick up.
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
