About The Position

Outerspace is a new type of Ops Center. We come from the brand side and have built and led operations for companies like Steve Madden, Prada and Nice Laundry. We leverage the latest technology to support our high growth brands and their daily operations. Outerspace provides a number of services including, but not limited to, warehousing and fulfillment, customization and light manufacturing, and product photography. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Fulfillment Center Inbound Supervisor to join the team. The Inbound Supervisor leads all daily inbound warehouse operations in a high-volume e-commerce and 3PL environment, including accurate receiving, quality inspection, put-away, and inventory control. This role supervises the inbound team, maintaining safety and efficiency standards. A successful candidate is someone who is driven, determined and committed to a high level of operational excellence and customer satisfaction. They are collaborative, demonstrate strong communication skills, and are detail oriented.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of warehouse or fulfillment center experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, handheld android devices
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Proficient with technology and software, such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack

Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving, unloading, staging, verifying, and put-away activities
  • Ensure accurate inspection and documentation of inbound shipments
  • Coordinate receiving priorities with customer SLAs and shipment schedules
  • Manage discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages), perform root-cause analysis, and follow up on resolution
  • Create and manage daily inbound schedules based on shipment volume
  • Lead team huddles, performance reviews, and safety briefings
  • Use WMS and RF scanning tools for inbound transactions and real-time visibility
  • Track KPIs: receiving cycle time, put-away accuracy, dock turnaround, quality exceptions
  • Provide daily inbound performance reporting to Operations Management Team
  • Work closely with inventory control, outbound, and other teams as needed
  • Support cross-training and peak season surge planning
  • Perform other general warehouse duties as needed
  • Ensure work areas are safe to operate in
  • Daily safety walks, callouts, and observations
  • Coach on poor safety behaviors and encouraging good safety practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas
  • Comply with all OSHA and warehouse safety rules and guidelines
  • Communicate and engage with teammates, team leads, and managers daily
  • Training, coaching and mentoring associates
  • Maintain daily attendance of associates, including timeclock adherence
  • Ensure associate compliance with all company rules, policies and guidelines
  • Resolving and mediating conflicts or interpersonal issues within teams, and escalating complex issues to management as needed
