About The Position
As a Fulfillment Center Delivery Driver for Kroger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are delivered efficiently and safely to their homes. This position requires you to serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety that Kroger stands for. You will be responsible for driving a company delivery vehicle, adhering to Kroger's driving standards, and demonstrating safe and efficient driving behavior at all times. Your primary focus will be on providing excellent customer service while delivering orders, ensuring that each interaction reflects the professionalism and high standards of the Kroger brand. In this role, you will engage with customers, discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and the delivery process, while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and personal presentation. Timeliness and the condition of delivered goods are paramount; you will ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition, addressing any issues that may arise during the delivery process. Maintaining communication with customers while en route is essential, as you will inform them of any changes or issues related to their delivery, in line with Kroger's delivery standards. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of customer deliveries and assisting fellow drivers who may encounter difficulties during their routes. Adhering to food health and safety regulations is critical; you will monitor and record temperatures to ensure that goods are kept within the correct temperature guidelines. Handling products safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines is a must, and you will need to report any serious breakages or contamination issues to your supervisor. Additionally, completing pre-inspection checks of the company vehicle before use and reporting any defects is part of your responsibilities. You will also operate company-provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction, ensuring that you can perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
