About The Position

The Fulfillment Center Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering customer orders to their homes while providing excellent customer service and acting as a brand ambassador for Kroger. This role involves safe driving practices, maintaining communication with customers, and ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in good condition. The driver must adhere to Kroger's driving standards and food safety regulations while operating a company delivery vehicle.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must annually pass a DOT regulated medical exam
• Good driving record
• Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be at least 21 years old
• May require chauffer's license in some states

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while delivering orders to customers.
• Act as a brand ambassador when discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers.
• Drive a company vehicle safely and in accordance with Kroger's driving standards.
• Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition, resolving any issues that may occur.
• Maintain customer communication while en route to inform them of any issues or changes to their delivery.
• Control and maintain an accurate record of customer deliveries.
• Assist fellow drivers that may encounter difficulties while out delivering.
• Ensure that goods are kept within the correct temperature guidelines; monitor and record temperatures to follow food health and safety regulations.
• Handle product safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines; record any serious breakages or contamination issues and report to supervisor.
• Complete pre-inspection checks of the company vehicle before use and report any defects to supervisor.
• Operate company-provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction.
