The Fugitive Apprehension Agent positions are responsible for conducting investigations related to criminal activities within state correctional facilities, including violent actions, financial crimes, or chemicals/substances. Agents coordinate and participate in undercover investigations, raids, and surveillance of individuals or locations believed to harbor escaped offenders. They are tasked with obtaining and executing arrests and search warrants, preparing affidavits for District Attorneys, and maintaining records of escapees. Additionally, they assist the agency's Legal Division with ongoing cases and collect information on potential threats within the Department of Corrections and the community.
