Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
  • Grows developed network and maintains good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Displays leadership characteristics.
  • Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.
  • Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with pressurized water reactors, specifically B&W designed plants, and are experienced with the plant system thermal-hydraulic and core response during operation and transients
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to develop and train new teams.
  • Experience with cross functional and cross discipline teams.
  • Ability to set priorities and goals and work effectively to meet them.
  • Experience with regulations and licensing associated with applying methodologies to light water reactors, including NRC interactions.
  • Customer focus and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Working with other Engineering teams to define new or revised analytical requirements.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to understand requirements and future demands.
  • Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering tasks and analyses.
  • Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
  • Ensures adherence to development standards and procedures.
  • Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
  • Works on special projects, as directed.
  • Provide suggestions for improving processes and implementing process improvements.
