About The Position

The Fueler is responsible for refueling/defueling our aircrafts as needed and moving aircraft into position after refueling is complete. The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Refuel/Defuel aircrafts on the flight line. Moving of aircraft to position after refueling is complete utilizing heliporter. Preventative maintenance tasks to preserve the facility from corrosion and deterioration. Receiving, storing, ordering and tracking of fuel. Assists with detailing the interior and exterior of the Aircraft when needed. Other duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements Regular scheduled attendance Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 0% Subject to applicable laws and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Position requires excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to comply with company and regulatory rules and regulations
  • High-level of alertness as job requires working around flying, taxiing and running aircraft.
  • General knowledge of aircraft operations.
  • General knowledge of scheduling of aircraft tour flights.
  • Simple arithmetic.
  • Physically able to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis.
  • Physically able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility in working under various types of weather and temperature conditions.
  • Comfortable and safe in working near operating aircraft.
  • May come into contact with cleaning fluids, solvents oils and fuels.
  • Able to fit into tight places and work on feet during entire work shift.
  • Must be able to maneuver a fuel hose.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an aircraft maintenance environment preferred.
