Ameresco is currently seeking a Fuel Yard/Boiler Operator to join our Biomass Co-Generation plant located at the Savannah River Site outside of Aiken, SC.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with operations and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an entry badge to the Savannah River Site.

Nice To Haves

• Power plant experience preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
• Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
• Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
• May be required for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operations including daily logs of fuel yard, boilers, and turbine generator.
• Perform housekeeping duties, basic care routes and basic preventative maintenance of power plant equipment.
• Drive heavy equipment including bobcat, forklift, front end loader, and Lull.
• Operate controls of a Stacker – Reclaimer.
• Operate power plant equipment in the field and in control room via DCS.
• Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
• Ensure environmental compliance in areas assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
