About The Position

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Fuel Truck Driver based out of Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • This position requires a Class A CDL Driver's License with Tanker and HazMat endorsements and a clean MVR.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements for CDL drivers, including the DOT physical exam.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Must operate a standard tanker-type truck along with loading and offloading product safely.
  • Must have skills to conduct pre-trip inspection checklist on equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Must be able to handle paperwork concerning Department of Transportation regulations, freight weigh bills, fuel tickets and load tickets.
  • Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, take directions to job sites, but also must be able to use good judgement in decision-making and be able to work without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to oil, grease and fuel trucks and equipment.
  • Must ensure that crews have water, oil and fuel for equipment on the job at all times.
  • Must be able to complete field services and participate in other activities expected of a construction crew.
  • Must be able/willing assist with additional tasks as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
  • Must ensure all activities are performed within the company's safety policies and procedures
