About The Position

Overview - $25/hour to start + time-on-job raises + overtime + sign-on bonus + per diem Benefits: Paid training, PTO in first year, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k with company match Schedule: 5 days on/2 days off, then 5 days on/3 days off, 60-70 hours/week Work: Transport and deliver hazardous materials (diesel) in a full-size tanker trailer to customers in our east Texas market, applying skills and experience in commercial driving and knowledge of hazmat safety and DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements (X)
• Operation of manual transmission (No E Restriction)
• Minimum of 2 years Class A truck driving experience
• Minimum of 2 years Tanker/Fluid truck driving experience.
• Must be registered on the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse prior to start
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation Compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA Compliance.
• Ability to proficiently speak, write, and read the English language.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Must have knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations governing safe driving, “Hours of Service”, inspection and maintenance basics.
• Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION.
• Must satisfactorily pass a drug test, alcohol test, and background check.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the work and the industry.
• Must be insurable with the company.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver diesel fuel via class A tanker-trailer combination from terminal to customer
• Perform thorough pre and post trip inspections + adhere to all DOT, Hazmat, and Texas Pride Fuels safety regulations
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and customer delivery documentation
• Communicate with logistics partners to ensure customer needs are met

Benefits

• $25/hour to start +$.50/hour once carded at appropriate fuel terminals
• Time on the job raises every three months for first year, total of +$1.50/hour
• Time and a half pay for hours over 40 in a work week
• $300 sign-on bonus
