About The Position

TICO is an equipment solutions company that has been in business since 1946. TICO manufactures, owns, and operates a fleet of over 1500 terminal tractors (jockey trucks) and trailers deployed in major U.S. ports. TICO maintains an on port and off port fueling operation where we service our own equipment as well as customer equipment. We are looking for a highly motivated and customer service-oriented Fuel Technician for our Savannah, GA location. The fuel technician will be responsible for: Utilizing a fleet of tank wagons of various sizes and stationary fuel storage facilities to deliver petroleum products to customers equipment Developing a thorough understanding of the operating equipment such as pumps, hoses, nozzles, and plumbing of a mobile tanker unit Fueling on port customer equipment Performing fuel accounting/reporting duties Refueling tanker unit at end of shift at fuel stand using a bulk fueling process Inspecting truck equipment and supplies such as: tires, lights, fluids, and spill kits Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintaining TICO equipment so that it is clean and organized Flexibility to perform other operations duties that may arise as requested by supervisors or managers. Fuel technician may be cross trained within different areas of the fuel department or operations May be responsible for working individually or as teams The fuel technician will be responsible for exhibiting a professional, safe, and customer service-oriented approach to all aspects of this operation

Requirements

Clean Motor Vehicle Record
Valid Drivers’ License
Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
Resume and references are required

Nice To Haves

TWIC card in possession
Class A or B CDL with tanker/hazmat endorsement a plus
Experience in fueling/petroleum field
Strong leadership skills

Responsibilities
