About The Position

Join our growing team at Miller Transportation Group as Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax Administrator for our Miller Truck Leasing division. Miller Dedicated Services - Supports customers in outsourcing their transportation needs by providing vehicles, drivers, fuel, insurance, and overall industry expertise. Miller Brokerage Services - Provides on-demand capacity solutions through our network of reliable carriers. Job Summary: Analyze motor vehicle fuel receipts and trip reports then prepare and submit fuel tax returns on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis depending on customer activity. You will also be liaison for the sales force and shops to ensure customer and rental unit compliance with internal processes / procedures.

  • Associate’s degree, high school diploma or relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete data entry including preparation and importing of Excel Templates for fuel receipts and miles recording
  • Prepare invoices for Customers on monthly basis for out-of-pocket charges
  • Supports Fuel Tax Lead’s review with future ownership of the Department’s Customer Tracker ensuring Customers send in their data timely and the related tax returns are filed timely
  • Assist monitoring GPS uploads and assist coordinating with the Rental Dept on any issues to ensure the GPS issues are corrected
  • Assisting Fuel Tax Lead with Personal Property / Excise Tax payments and invoicing costs to customers
  • Supports fuel tax audits and requests for documentation
  • Assist with general administrative office duties
  • Other duties as assigned
