About The Position

Join Royal Caribbean Group as a full-time Fuel Sourcing and Sustainability Procurement Manager, reporting to the Sr Mgr, Procurement. This role is pivotal in managing marine fuel products and delivery operations, providing strategic guidance to a team of commodity managers and buyers. The position focuses on developing sustainable fuel procurement strategies to meet RCG's carbon reduction goals while ensuring compliance with regulations. The manager will engage with suppliers, ports, and government authorities to secure fuel for RCG’s global fleet, monitor energy markets, and provide updates on fuel operations and supplier performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years procurement experience with a proven track record of negotiating multi-million-dollar global supply contracts.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the petroleum industry, LNG, and low carbon fuels.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support executing the Bunker optimization and delivery operations for RCI, CEL, SSC, TUI and HLC vessels resulting in over 150,000 tons of annual consumption and $1 billion in direct fuel expense.
  • Manage the fuel sourcing strategy for ~20% of global bunker ports & regions, including procurement of LNG, liquid drop-in biofuels, methanol, conventional marine fuels, and alternative commodities.
  • Lead continuous oversight of the order process, ensuring 99.9% delivery and specification accuracy.
  • Research existing and future lower-carbon fuel technologies to meet RCG’s carbon reduction goals.
  • Collaborate with emerging fuel providers and government authorities to establish alternative fuel production and supply chains.
  • Plan and coordinate yearly and long-term conventional and low carbon fuel procurement programs.
  • Lead the development and execution of procurement and negotiation processes based on market variables.
  • Perform supplier vetting and ensure business coverage across the fleet.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with fuel suppliers covering major performance indicators.
  • Manage departmental KPIs such as arbitrage savings and on-time delivery.
  • Engage with Environmental, Safety & Energy Management departments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Continuously develop supply points to mitigate operational disruptions.
  • Review Purchase Order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
