Fuel & Lube Mechanic Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a CDL fuel and lube service truck to perform equipment servicing at job sites Refuel, grease, and top off fluids on earthmoving and heavy construction equipment Perform routine fluid inspections and preventative maintenance tasks Conduct and log pre- and post-trip inspections on service truck per DOT regulations Maintain accurate fuel/lube usage logs and service records Load/unload parts, fluids, and other materials safely and efficiently Identify and report fluid leaks or abnormal machine conditions Communicate effectively with operations, shop personnel, and purchasing teams Comply with company Health & Safety Program, OSHA regulations, and DOT standards Travel between jobsites throughout the Southwest region Minimum Requirements: 1- 2 years of experience in Heavy Equipment Class B CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (required) Acceptable driving record with no violations or accidents in the last 3 years Must pass DOT drug screen and MVR check Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor, physically demanding environments Ability to work independently and maintain a professional, safety-focused mindset Willingness to work varying hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience working around Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment Familiarity with diesel fuel systems, grease points, and fluid service intervals Understanding of DOT and OSHA requirements for vehicle and equipment operations Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
