About The Position

Fuel Island Attendant, PM, Garage - Deerfield

Requirements

• be at least 21 years old
• be able to work nights
• be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• have a valid drivers license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
• pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical (including drug test) within 2 weeks of accepting the contingent job offer (additional time may be provided if a physical condition is correctable)
• obtain a Temporary Driving Permit (License Type A) within 2 weeks of accepting the contingent job offer
• obtain a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsement code X-Placarded Hazmat and Tank Vehicles within 90 days of his or her start date in the position
• not having driving violations/offenses within the past seven years that would cause disqualification by Publix from driving a Commercial Vehicle
• be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• be capable of generating and processing work on a computerized fuel-management system
• be able to read, write, and solve math problems
• be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
• have the ability to work well with others and be a team member
• show enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work and show commitment to Publix’s mission.

• current (insert location) Distribution associate performing a number of functions on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment; as well as industrial equipment; according to company policy; federal, state, and local regulations; and his or her own knowledge of the equipment and assisting in other duties as assigned
