About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking a Fuel Distribution Systems Operator who will support the Installation Support Services (ISS2) contract on Wake Island. This position will require that the employee work on site at Wake Island. Transportation from Honolulu, Hawaii to Wake Island will be furnished by government sponsored aircraft. This is a union rotational position 3 months on 1 month off. Meals and housing will be provided by the program while working on the island. Employees will live in a dormitory housing environment and meals will be furnished daily through the cafeteria commissary. This role is perfect for someone who is able to remain away for long periods of time while working on island with occasional scheduled trips back to Honolulu. The Fuel Distribution Systems Operator is supporting the operation, maintenance, safety, and environmental protection for aviation and ground fuel bulk storage operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years' experience in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of bulk and fuel distribution systems.
  • Four (4) years' experience detecting and correcting system component malfunctions, misalignments, leaks, and other adjustment issues and performing scheduled and unscheduled fuel system maintenance.
  • Four (4) years' experience with removing, repairing and replacing major system components, have a basic knowledge of automatic tank components and gauging systems, high/low level alarms, cathode protection, and oil/water waste systems.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to speak, write and read English.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read and write English proficiently.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, fingerprints and drug test.
  • Ability to pass National Agency Check with Inquiries background check.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, inspects, maintains, and repairs fuel distribution systems, fuel storage tanks, and pipeline systems.
  • Detects and corrects system component malfunctions, misalignments, leaks, and other adjustment issues.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled fuel system maintenance.
  • Implements cyclic maintenance programs and safety programs relating to all aspects of facility operation.
  • Accomplishes spill cleanup procedures, prevention and control measures, related equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
