About The Position

As the Fuel Center/Department Leader, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Fuel Center, which includes maximizing sales, enhancing margins, controlling expenses, ensuring compliance documentation, and reducing shrink within the section. Your role will involve directing and supervising all functions, duties, and activities for the Fuel department while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Fuel Center. You will be expected to demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in all aspects of your work. In this position, you will deliver excellent customer service by responding to customer requests, comments, or complaints effectively. You will maintain compliance with all corporate and divisional merchandising and operational standards, which include recovery, fixture usage and maintenance, signing, ticketing/tagging, and safety protocols. Additionally, you will perform cashier functions, including opening and closing the register, ringing sales, completing tender transactions, and making money drops. Training new Fuel Center associates will also be a key responsibility, along with ordering merchandise and supplies for the department and controlling inventory levels. You will review daily sales and scan audits, assist in the inventory process, oversee fuel delivery, and ensure proper documentation of fuel inventory. Compliance with shrink control guidelines related to inventory, pricing, theft, merchandising, and paperwork will be crucial. Monitoring the customer service skills of kiosk clerks and providing guidance as needed will also be part of your duties. You will verify that kiosk sanitation standards and safety standards are met, ensuring that safety equipment is available and in working order. Cleaning up spills and completing fuel spill reports, performing daily fuel surveys, and maintaining knowledge of emergency phone numbers and procedures will be essential tasks. Furthermore, you will verify that the store is following the provided pricing strategy and coach and develop associates on their performance, participating in performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
