About The Position

The position involves sealing, filleting, and applying various compounds for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench, and integral fuel cells. Responsibilities include applying scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal, and conducting pressure tests while working from drawings, documents, process specifications, and quality control requirements. The company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions, including working with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to meet quality requirements. Employees will also be responsible for completing required data gathering transactions to facilitate sealer progression, performing pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing, or checks during or after final seal and/or seal progression. The role requires the use of measuring instruments and reporting or investigating job handicaps such as errors, assembly procedures, tools, and sequences. Additionally, employees will support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching, and assisting employees of all classification levels, and documenting any discrepancies according to specifications, processes, and procedures. The position also involves temporarily attaching parts and assemblies and installing collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking. Integral fuel cell sealing is a key responsibility, requiring the application of sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and related wing section components. Employees must possess the skill and knowledge to perform one or more of the skills listed, along with any lower-level sealant skills.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for rehire at BOEING.
  • Require 5+ years of sealer experience in the Aerospace Industry.
  • Aerospace assembly experience is required; experience in other industries will not be considered.
  • Candidates must be U.S. citizens due to ITAR regulations.
  • Must be able to work either shift.
