Primary Duties and Responsibilities Prepares FTZ and warehouse entry papers from shipper's invoice in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Customs Service and other federal agencies (e.g., the Food and Drug Administration) bearing on importation of goods. Mains accurate records of all transactions via the "Invento1y Zone" inventory management system. Prepares documents for Customs Broker to facilitate clearances. Arranges for shipment of goods into and out of the Foreign Trade Zone. Compiles records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into the computer. Compares data entered with the source document, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors. Deletes incorrectly entered data and re-enters correct data. Complies, sorts, and verifies the accuracy of data to be entered. Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records. Compiles stock control records or other documents for purchasing. Compiles nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
