About The Position

The FTTH (Fiber to the Home) Field Technician position at Fatbeam involves installing, supporting, and repairing services for the company's aerial and underground network infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers across various sectors, including enterprise, healthcare, government, and education. The technician will work closely with the Field Services Manager and is expected to provide exceptional customer service while adhering to company standards and protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume work environment
• Willingness to travel
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Must be able to work overtime and on call as needed
• Must be a team player
• Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service; internally and externally
• Communicate effectively both internally and externally with customers, vendors, and other parties as required
• Make qualified decisions that will provide the best customer experience considering fiduciary responsibility to the company
• Install, diagnose, and maintain all wireless systems to ensure that the system is functioning per Fatbeam standards; 'white glove service'
• Provision wireless services and measure signal strength of all connections to ensure appropriate performance
• Perform inspections as required to validate performance
• Installation and troubleshooting of Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cable on customer premises, at Fatbeam aggregation sites, and at tower sites
• Operate a vehicle in a safe manner
• Follow all Fatbeam field procedures and protocols
• Share information across the organization through documented processes and/or more informal modes of communication
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
