The primary purpose of this position is to select grocery orders for GIANT Direct delivery customers. Working in our home shopping fulfillment centers, order selectors are responsible for the accurate scanning and packing of home delivery customer purchases.

Responsibilities

• Accurately selects customer orders using wrist mounted/finger scanner
• Selects high quality product using the 'would I buy it' theory
• Bags orders into designated totes to build complete customer orders
• Ensures the cold chain is not compromised by using frozen gel packs for chill/perishable product or dry ice for frozen product
• Packages orders to prevent damage of product and prevent BPIs
• Stages complete totes with appropriate tote labels for merging orders
• Works in various temperatures zones throughout the warehouse
• Works in multiple pick zones based on flow
• Maintains a cleanly work environment and adhere to food safety standards
• Pushes, carries, and lifts (sometimes overhead) items/totes

• Performs other duties as assigned
