Requirements

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office for data entry and research purposes
  • Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
  • Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills
  • Meet production standards set by the company
  • Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
  • Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment
  • Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
  • High School education
  • Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act for department supervisor in his/her absence
  • Help to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up with associate’s job duties to be completed
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are running in a safe, orderly, effective manner
  • Assist the supervisor with interviewing and hiring new associates
  • Perform own sanitation tasks while ensuring that all crew tasks are accomplished to standard
  • Train other sanitation associates and or sub-contracted crew on sanitation tasks
  • Ensure that the crew understands and follows safe work practices
  • Responsible for OSHA Compliance and Regulations
  • Maintain sanitation supply inventory
  • Provide research and advise management on equipment and supply purchases
  • Perform minor maintenance and adjustments on cleaning equipment
  • Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or campus that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
  • Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.
