Requirements
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office for data entry and research purposes
- Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
- Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills
- Meet production standards set by the company
- Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
- Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
- Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment
- Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
- High School education
- Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Act for department supervisor in his/her absence
- Help to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up with associate’s job duties to be completed
- Complete required paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensure that all areas of responsibility are running in a safe, orderly, effective manner
- Assist the supervisor with interviewing and hiring new associates
- Perform own sanitation tasks while ensuring that all crew tasks are accomplished to standard
- Train other sanitation associates and or sub-contracted crew on sanitation tasks
- Ensure that the crew understands and follows safe work practices
- Responsible for OSHA Compliance and Regulations
- Maintain sanitation supply inventory
- Provide research and advise management on equipment and supply purchases
- Perform minor maintenance and adjustments on cleaning equipment
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or campus that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
- Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.
