About The Position

Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside vibrant Downtown Lancaster. We are seeking highly caring, enthusiastic, & passionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who enjoy Life Enrichment Activities to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our Residents! Location : Westvue; PC Memory Support; 13 residents per household (26 residents total) Base Pay : Determined based upon years of experience, starting rate with no experience or med tech certification is $15.75; plus, applicable shift & weekend differentials. Schedule: SUN MON TUES WED THURS FRI SAT SUN MON TUES WED THURS FRI SAT 8a-8p 4p-8p 4p-8p 8a-8p OFF 4p-8p OFF OFF 8a-8p 4p-8p 4p-8p OFF 4p-8p 8a-8p Shift/Weekend Differentials: $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am $1.25 additional on Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with Life Enrichment
• CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or ability to become certified.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description.
• Demonstrate flexibility.
• Satisfactory completion of the Personal Care Home Direct Care Staff Person Training Program

Responsibilities

• Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents.
• Assist resident with all activities of daily living as needed.
• Participate in development of residents' Support Plan.
• Facilitate recreational/life enhancement activities.
• Facilitate dining/light meal preparations.
• Collect data such as vital signs, as indicated.
• Housekeeping and laundry, as needed and assigned.
• Observe client and immediately report changes in condition to Supervisor.
• Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due.
• Adhere to all PCH policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
• Document interventions, activities, observations, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
