Full-Time Nanny Manager – Lake View, Chicago Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate) Location: Lake View, Chicago Children: 2 (ages 8 and 3)Schedule Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30/5:45 PM (Earlier end time on days without after-school activities/OT) Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Flexibility for occasional extended hours when a parent is traveling or for evening events Family is open to offering additional guaranteed hours for the right candidate Compensation & Benefits $35–$40/hour DOE Guaranteed hours PTO offered Mileage reimbursement Parking readily available About the Family A respectful, collaborative Lake View family is seeking a loving, reliable, and proactive nanny manager to join their home. This is a team-oriented environment, and they value a nanny who enjoys partnering closely with parents. The family has two active children (ages 8 and 3) and a parent who works from home, as well as a parent who is intermittently home. They are looking for someone who is engaging, organized, and confident in managing both childcare and household support. The family also spends approximately 1.5 months each summer in Maine (near Portland) and would love a nanny who is open to joining them.Key Responsibilities Childcare School drop-off and pick-up Driving children to activities and outings Planning fun, age-appropriate activities Supporting emotional development while maintaining clear boundaries and structure Assisting with evening routines Preparing snacks and simple meals for the children Occasional overnight care with advance notice Household & Nanny Manager Duties Organizing home spaces (playroom, pantry, closets, mudroom, etc.) Maintaining tidy common areas and children’s spaces Family laundry (wash, fold, put away) Managing household inventory and restocking essentials Preparing items for the next day (school bags, snacks, activities) Scheduling appointments (doctor, dentist, home vendors, etc.) Running light errands (groceries, returns, pharmacy, dry cleaning) Coordinating and overseeing household vendors Ideal Candidate Warm, kind, and patient, while confident setting boundaries Collaborative and enjoys a team approach with parents Reliable, mature, and self-aware Active and able to keep up with busy children Strong organizational skills and proactive mindset Comfortable working in a home with parents present Able to adapt to changing routines and needs Trustworthy and able to model good values and behavior Positive attitude with a good sense of humor
