About The Position

Ennismore offers an exciting job opportunity to join our Finance team as a Staff Accountant, located at SLS South Beach, Miami. Under the general guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, the Staff Accountant will assist in ensuring smooth and efficient running of the minibars in the guestrooms. This role is responsible for checking, refilling, cleanliness, and charging of minibar amenities in guest rooms, ensuring that both internal and external guests receive high-quality and personalized service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
  • Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes

Responsibilities

  • Set up floor sheets and attend to early departures, VIP's or Rush rooms
  • Remove and dispose of all non-hotel stock from minibar in departure rooms
  • Liaise with housekeeping floor supervisors, room attendants and front desk
  • Continually check the expiration date of amenities, removing any expired or damaged items and record inventory appropriately
  • Follow key signing procedures and take responsibility for assigned keys
  • Collect deliveries from the loading bay
  • Maintain cleanliness of minibar, cupboard, and storage areas
  • Ensure work areas are cleaned, maintained, and secured at all times; report defective materials and equipment to manager
  • Undertake any reasonable request and/or special projects as requested by management
  • Perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the venue teams
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant activity
  • Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment
