About The Position
We are seeking full-time Kennel Assistant to join our team. VCA Old Trail Animal Hospital is a busy 2 doctor practice with a variety of services offered including pet boarding and grooming. The successful candidate will share our love of our patients and our loyal clientele while we provide the highest quality care to their pets. We stand by the philosophy that we treat each pet as if it was our own. The Kennel Assistant provides general care for our boarding dogs and cats from scheduling reservations to feeding, medicating, and walking pets, cleaning their enclosures and bedding, supervising playtime, and giving belly rubs. They will also be responsible for laundry and general cleaning in both boarding and throughout the hospital. Our ideal candidate is a fast learner when it comes to computers, both Microsoft platforms as well as our internal management software. Our clients love to get photo check-ins and report cards on their pets! Veterinary assisting experience or interest a plus! Weekends and nights a must. Required shifts will be 12-7PM, Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday split shifts (with 2 weekdays off). Shift hours and allotted days off are flexible and will be discussed at interview. Starting hourly rate of pay is $16/hr+ based on experience.
