The Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Tech is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet, including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting of areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas. This role also involves collecting trash/recycling/soiled linen and ensuring proper disposal. Safety is a priority, and employees must utilize protective gear and adhere to safety precautions while performing their duties. Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential, as is the ability to positively represent HCSG and interact pleasantly with residents and staff.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily without supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must comply with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies.
  • Must live in the service area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet.
  • Collect trash/recycling/soiled linen from units and ensure proper disposal.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions.
  • Report equipment/cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met.
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures.
  • Maintain punctuality and timely completion of assigned cleaning areas.
  • Positively represent HCSG by being courteous and cooperative with staff and clients.
  • Engage in positive interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
