About The Position

We are currently seeking a full-time Food Service Clerk to join our ShopRite of Spotswood team. This role is essential in ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently, while also providing excellent customer service to our guests. As a Food Service Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including preparing, packaging, wrapping, weighing, price marking, dating, stocking, and restocking products according to the company's processes and food handling standards. You will maintain strict quality assurance conditions to ensure that all products meet our high standards. This position requires a friendly demeanor as you will be promoting a positive store image by greeting customers and providing them with prompt, courteous service. You will also be responsible for answering phone calls professionally and fulfilling customer requests as needed. In addition to customer service, you will handle and communicate any damaged or spoiled products in accordance with company procedures. You will follow approved procedures for packaging and stocking products, ensuring that all department and quality assurance standards are met. Utilizing approved equipment such as cold holding cases, box cutters, ovens, slicers, and knives will be part of your daily responsibilities. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is crucial, as is adhering to sanitation and quality assurance standards. You will participate in sampling programs and events as directed, and perform other duties as assigned.
