The Full-Time Faculty position in Construction Technology Management at Coconino Community College is designed for an individual who is passionate about teaching and has a strong background in construction technology. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses including Construction Technology, Sustainable Construction, Blue Print Reading, Construction Supervision, and Construction Safety. This role requires the ability to engage students in practical applications of instruction, ensuring that they are well-prepared for careers in the construction industry. The faculty member will also be expected to develop curricula, assess learning outcomes, and maintain up-to-date knowledge in their field. Teaching assignments may include alternative delivery methods such as web and video conferencing, and may occur during the day, evening, or at multiple sites. Faculty members are also responsible for supporting students, participating in committee work, and fulfilling other assignments as required by the college. This is a full-time position that is eligible for benefits, and the faculty member will be expected to work collaboratively within a small department, contributing to a positive educational environment. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the faculty member will maintain a professional code of conduct, attend required college meetings, and actively participate in college-wide committees or external committees related to the construction industry. They will also be responsible for maintaining instructional records, utilizing the college's learning management system (Canvas), and providing input for schedule building and budget management. The faculty member will promote the college's mission, vision, and strategic plan, and will be involved in the development, implementation, and assessment of courses and programs, including student learning outcomes. Furthermore, they will develop syllabi in accordance with college procedures and maintain discipline-specific certifications and licensure as appropriate. The faculty member will serve as a professional role model for students and faculty, championing a collaborative and positive educational environment for all members of the college community.
