About The Position

The Checkout Coach at The GIANT Company is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front-end operations, including customer service, training, scheduling, performance management, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the team in creating a positive shopping experience for customers.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 1 year of work experience or technical training is required.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in training, communications, human relations, team building, planning, and organization.
  • Exhibit a high energy level, positive attitude, and sense of urgency.
  • Possess leadership skills that inspire team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computer register systems and cash management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review the work schedule and prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
  • Supervise checkout cashiers and assist in checkouts as needed.
  • Resolve customer issues and manage checkout lanes based on customer load.
  • Perform special store-level projects as assigned by the assistant store manager.
  • Serve as a role model for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with cash control, productivity, shrink, and food safety.
