About The Position

Works with Operations Manager & Food Service Director unloading Delivery trucks, delivering food to the schools, takes weekly inventory inventory. Follows all food safety guidelines and processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 3 years as well as ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic as well as to understand measurements and conversion
  • Responsible for meeting and maintaining state and local certification requirements (Food Handler certification)
  • Outgoing, friendly and customer focused
  • Ability to work effectively on a team
  • Works with speed, consistency and organization
  • Comfortable and pleasant demeanor in very busy environments
  • Follow all policies in the team member handbook and all food safety guidelines
  • Strong knife skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, use hands to feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to odors, noise, heat, steam, in/out walk-in freezer, cleaning chemicals and detergent

Responsibilities

  • Work with Operations Manager & Food Service Director unloading delivery trucks & transporting food to each school. Follow Quest, local, State and Federal guidelines for the proper handling of food products.
  • Assist with taking weekly inventory & assist in the cafeteria
  • Assist in the overall sanitation of the line and product kitchen and lead as a role model to the team.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with management & the leads to ensure all products are delivered.
  • Double check that amount of food being transported will meet demands.
  • Work “as team player” with all associates and managers in a professional manner.
  • Assist with the sanitation of the production kitchen and responsible for sanitary transport equipment.
  • Transport all foods to each school in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain Truck Mileage Log, manage maintenance needs and cleanliness as needed.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food practices.
  • Follow all Quest policies and food safety guidelines.
  • Report to scheduled shift on time and in complete uniform.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
