We are actively hiring for Microsoft Purview Compliance Engineer. Location: New Jersey, NJ (Onsite).
Serve as the primary compliance contact for the implementation and oversight of the agency's Microsoft Purview application.
Data types to be brought under Purview oversight and management include: data/files within enterprise Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Point, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, etc.) and other on-premises, multicloud, and software as a service (SaaS) data.
Key Purview duties and responsibilities include eDiscovery, Data Cataloging, Data Classification, Data Lineage, Data Insights, and Data Compliance.
Coordinate with relevant departments or personnel to retrieve requested data and compile necessary documents for disclosure.
Collaborate with the Director of Data Governance to develop and revise policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and guidelines related to data management and governance.
Monitor and interpret federal and state data protection laws, regulations (such as HIPAA), and industry standards.
Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate agency staff on data governance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the Director of Data Governance in developing and designing data management applications and systems.
Data governance and/or data management experience.
Records management experience.
Extensive experience with Windows and Microsoft 365.
Experience with Microsoft Purview.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe.
Experience in the utilization of Microsoft Purview to implement and manage data governance frameworks.
Conduct eDiscovery Premium searches.
Working knowledge of laws, regulations and standards governing the management of sensitive data (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, NIST Standards).
