Greenville House is a semi-independent living program designed for youth aged 16-21 who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. The Residential Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a welcoming and healing environment for these youth, many of whom have faced trauma and complex issues such as family and peer rejection, community violence, abuse, neglect, abandonment, and mental health struggles. This position requires collaboration with the Assistant Manager and the management team to ensure the safety, stability, and professional guidance of both staff and residents placed through the Department of Children, Youth and Families. The Residential Manager is responsible for promoting leadership skills among the TST Milieu Counselors in the residential treatment setting. This role demands a positive demeanor, integrity, empathy, and a nonjudgmental attitude, with a strong cultural sensitivity to the program's needs. The manager will monitor the residential program while maintaining Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting. Key responsibilities include supervising program staff, managing the program budget, scheduling staff, overseeing program purchases, and strategic planning to ensure the safety, nurturance, and care of the residents. In addition to administrative duties, the Residential Manager will provide direct care to residents and develop and facilitate daily groups and activities tailored for the youth in the program. As part of the youth's treatment team, the manager will work closely with milieu counselors and clinical staff to ensure the effective delivery of individual treatment plans, while fostering a sense of community and normalcy for the residents. This position requires a commitment to compliance with all required trainings for program staff in accordance with agency and state regulations.
