The FSQA Technician I position is an entry-level role focused on ensuring food safety and quality standards within a food manufacturing environment. The technician will be responsible for collecting and analyzing technical information related to ingredients, products, and packaging, conducting analytical testing, and communicating effectively with production teams and leadership. The role emphasizes adherence to safety policies and the promotion of food safety and quality standards throughout the organization.

  • Collect ingredient, product, and packaging technical information.
  • Conduct analytical testing to support incoming materials, in-process product, and finished product compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Production Team Members, Production Leadership, and FSQA Leadership.
  • Adhere to personnel safety policies and promote safety among peers.
  • Champion Food Safety and Quality Standards throughout the organization.
  • Document food safety and quality issues expediently.
  • Conduct inspection activities during production and post sanitation.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards, including Identity Preserved products.
  • Audit production and packaging lines and document compliance information.
  • Collect and analyze ingredient and product samples for compliance with specifications.
  • Audit metal detection and weight control equipment.
  • Record production finished goods and WIP data.
  • Recognize and communicate out of specification results to production in a timely manner.
  • Place non-conforming products on hold and complete required documentation.
  • Report food safety, employee safety, and quality issues as necessary.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required.
  • Vocation training in Quality Systems preferred.
  • Work experience in Food Manufacturing or Quality Assurance preferred.
  • Vocation training in Quality Systems is preferred.
  • Work experience in Food Manufacturing or Quality Assurance is preferred.
