About The Position

This position is responsible for conducting thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. The role includes accurately documenting and calculating results, taking corrective actions when necessary (such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products), and reporting results to management. Additional assignments may be requested. All team members are responsible for ensuring safety, including personal and food safety.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other Quality Assurance-related experience.
Attendance: Candidates must have 6 or fewer attendance points and have been employed for at least 90 days to be eligible for this position.
Disciplinary Record: Candidates should have no written warnings or suspensions within the past 6 months.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Special Skills: Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in math and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Ability to function well under stress.
Flexibility to work in various locations and shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements: The position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
