This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the company’s HACCP, SSOP, Animal Welfare, and GMP programs by completing the necessary paperwork along with ensuring product adheres to Tecumseh Poultry and USDA guidelines. Hours: A shift Pay rate: $17.15 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Inspect and audit products for adherence of Tecumseh Poultry and USDA guidelines Data collection and record keeping activities Performs all necessary SSOP monitoring and completes all paperwork. Perform necessary HACCP monitoring of the birds and completes necessary paperwork Other duties as assigned ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: In the absence of a FSQA technician I, a trained FSQA technician will take on all quality and food safety related duties conducted by a FSQA technician I. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to communicate FSQA standards with production associates, maintenance associates, USDA, management and other FSQA techs Ability to work safely and effectively Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace; managing time while meeting scheduling requirements Must be able to work independently and make decisions Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals Eagerness to learn new ideas Preparedness to assist in other areas of production and work overtime as required Education and/or Experience: Experience in a meat processing facility preferred High School diploma or equivalent preferred Basic computer knowledge required Must be able to perform basic arithmetic and calculations Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively Physical Requirements / Environment: Rarely (0-1 hrs.): climb or work at unprotected heights (ladder or production stand), kneel, crouch or crawl Occasionally (1-3 hrs.): lift/carry (up to 45 lbs.), sit, bend/stoop, squat, push/pull (up to 100 lbs.), balance Frequently (3-6 hrs.): lift/carry (up to 10 lbs.), simple/firm grasping, reach above shoulder, fine manipulation/keyboarding, twist/turn Continuously (6-8 hrs.): stand/walk, work around moving machinery, exposed to marked changes in temperature, around and amongst poultry dust and odor as well as chemical fumes, work in wet/humid environment or cold environment less than 40◦F, talk and hear, use 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
