About The Position

Job Summary: As a FSQA Tech you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. • Documenting and calculating results accurately. • Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. • Handling additional assignments as requested. Working Conditions • Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting. • Physical Requirements: Involves lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds. • Safety Equipment: Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses (where required), hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required. • Restrictions: Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience. Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Special Skills: • Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork. • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce. • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills. • Math and organizational skills. • Ability to read and interpret product specifications. • Must function well under stress. • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed. Physical Requirements: • Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs • Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day • Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit • Must be able to work in wet environment • Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling • Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently • Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed • Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
