POSITION SUMMARY: The QA Supervisor is responsible for implementing and managing the systems that ensure the delivered product meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, FSQA Supervisor must be self-motivated, able to problem solve, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to accomplish a versatile and evolving workload.
  • Excellent in all forms of communication.
  • Skilled at PowerPoint design and ideation.
  • Innovative, problem solver, flexible, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt well to change.
  • Associates degree minimum or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years in a food plant environment; prior QA experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Nice To Haves

  • HACCP Certified and SQF Certified, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Testing and Inspection Programs of Ingredient and packing materials, WIP, finished product.
  • Handling of Nonconformances of product and/or process.
  • Ensure Document Control and proper Record Retention is in place, up to date and followed properly.
  • Assist in projects and programs that benefit and improve products, process.
  • Assist in the timely reporting of quality key process indicators to plant and /or management.
  • Assist in GFSI, internal, customer and regulatory audits.
  • Assist in the implementation, monitoring of HACCP, GMPs, GLPs, Allergen Control, Food Safety and Preventative Controls.
  • Train as needed for Quality Assurance procedures, Food Safety programs with plant employees.
  • Develop, write and/or implement procedures, work instructions and SOPs.
  • Monitor Testing and Inspection Programs of ingredient and packing materials, WIP, finished product.
  • Handling of Nonconformances of product and/or process.
  • Ensure Document Control and proper Record Retention is in place, up to date and followed properly.
  • Assist in projects and programs that benefit and improve products, process.
  • Assist in the timely reporting of quality key process indicators to plant and /or management.
  • Assist in audits, internal, customer and regulatory as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the Quality Assurance staff follow all company personnel and safety rules; provide leadership, mentoring and process direction to the Quality Technicians.
  • Enforce all company rules, OSHA, safety rules, GMPs, and all food safety laws and regulations in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
