Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in sanitation in the food industry a plus
  • Understands and follow all OSHA/GMP/HACCP/SQF compliance requirements
  • Responsible for compliance of company rules, and regulations of food and safety standards
  • Meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing, including drug screen and physical ability tests
  • Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
  • Ability and judgment to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees and supervisors
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form
  • Ability to perform job functions on scissor lift
  • Interact with USDA

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in sanitation in the food industry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and clean all work areas throughout the entire plant
  • Remove excess product from the floor and dispose of properly
  • Perform all functions of sanitation including; product removal, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping and detail cleaning
  • Obtain and apply the appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solution to all food contact and non-food contact surfaces, scrub surfaces and parts
  • Remove condensation from production equipment
  • Perform Pre-Op
  • Various other sanitation duties as assigned by the Sanitation Manager and/or the Supervisor
