The FSQA Manager is responsible for the Quality Assurance Department, focusing on safe, quality food while achieving the financial goals of the company. This role involves ensuring customer specifications are met and compliance with all laws, policies, and standards governing food safety and quality.

  • Validate quality processes and quality attributes; measure production; document evidence; determine operational and performance qualification; update quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigate and analyze trends of customer complaints.
  • Conduct audits of facilities, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Manage a food safety team, organize its work, and ensure relevant training and education of the food safety team members.
  • Ensure that the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained, and updated; report to the organization's top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system.
  • Prepare Food Safety, HACCP, and other management review meetings.
  • Report and take necessary action to prevent food safety, legality, and quality problems from occurring.
  • 3-5 years of food manufacturing management experience preferred
  • Must be bilingual (English-Spanish)
  • SQF practitioner certification preferred
  • HACCP certification preferred
  • PCQI certification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field preferred
  • Required to purchase slip-resistant shoes prior to start date
  • Understanding of cleaning practices and procedures
  • Developing SOP's and programs
  • GFSI background
  • Experience with root cause and corrective actions
  • Experience with FDA/USDA inspections
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
