About The Position

The Quality Assurance Food Manager ensures the highest standards of food quality, safety, and compliance at Rudolph Foods. This leadership role oversees the plant’s QA team and food safety programs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of QA Tech experience in food production.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and FSMA requirements.
  • Certified SQF Practitioner with knowledge of AIB and SQF audit processes.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and ability to identify compliance issues.
  • 2 years of related experience and/or training required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Plant Quality Team, holding regular meetings and audits.
  • Oversee and maintain all core food safety programs, including sanitation, GMPs, pest control, allergen management, traceability, and supplier certification.
  • Manage HACCP and FSMA Food Safety Plans.
  • Act as the primary SQF practitioner and oversee internal and third-party audits.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations and respond to nonconformances (NRs).
  • Track and report on quality metrics, consumer complaints, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain calibration and performance of metal detectors and other critical control systems.
  • Prepare and communicate quality “scorecards” and continuous improvement plans.
