About The Position

Ready to Own Plant Quality from Supplier to Customer? Do you thrive on building robust quality systems, solving complex problems, and turning insights into action? In this role, you will be the FSQA and CI champion for a high-volume metal packaging plant—protecting product integrity, delighting customers, and empowering teams. What You’ll Do System stewardship: Keep the quality framework healthy and current—inspection/test methods, work instructions, procedures, product specifications, GMPs, Food Safety compliance, and best practices. Continuous improvement: Lead plant-wide and supplier initiatives to elevate performance; verify adherence to quality systems and sustain gains. Data-driven decisions: Interpret production and quality data to disposition finished product against specifications. Customer advocacy: Serve as the key technical/quality contact for external customers—strengthening relationships and resolving quality issues quickly. RCA and CAPA leadership: Direct investigations for customer complaints and internal quality nonconformance’s; audit corrective actions for effectiveness. Cross-functional orchestration: Partner with Commercial, Product Development, and Corporate Engineering on new business opportunities and product trials. Supplier claims: Drive accurate, timely closure of coating and mill supplier defective material claims. Standards and systems: Ensure compliance with SMA principles and procedures; manage the HFI system (balance, disposition, re-work, inventory levels). Operational excellence: Ensure quality procedures are completed correctly; cascade KPIs to the floor and implement processes that foster compliance. People development: Train department leads and supervisors on process quality methods and GMPs; collaborate with HR to resolve personnel issues; provide direct supervision of plant personnel (scope varies). Enterprise collaboration: Prepare quality reviews for leadership and maintain continuous communication with all Ardagh Metal Packaging plants; support special projects with Corporate Quality Assurance. Plus, other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
  • 8+ years in manufacturing, including 4+ years focused on quality.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, computer, and communication skills.
  • High energy, initiative, and the ability to tackle problems outside standard processes.
  • Quality Inspection Experience
  • Food and Beverage Manufacturing
  • Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA)
  • Quality Control Experience
  • Site-Specific Experience Leading self-directed workforces.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma knowledge (Green Belt or Black Belt).
  • Background implementing improvement methods in can manufacturing.
