About The Position

Internal - 1st Shift FSQ Technician (5:45am - 2:30pm) - Barron, WI Hourly pay rate: Hire $21.75, 6 months $22.11, 1 year $22.76

Requirements

  • Must be able to learn to complete basic audits including HACCP monitoring and verifications, SSOP preoperative & operative sanitation monitoring, weight control checks and online quality audits
  • Must be able to work independently and with others with minimal supervision
  • Must be willing to work towards becoming knowledgeable to product specifications, GMP policies, SSOP procedures and HACCP programs
  • Must be able to maintain accurate & legible documentation of all assigned responsibilities
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English and be able to communicate with management
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • No performance work actions in the last 6 months
  • No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
  • PHYSICAL: No restrictions to work for extended periods of time in a cool or warm environment
  • No restrictions lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to prepare and consume a variety of foods which may include pork, beef, chicken, turkey, and peanuts.
  • To be considered for this position you must have completed six (6) months in your present position. Team Members with less than six (6) months may be considered for promotion or transfer based on the needs of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine checks that include, but not limited to, monitoring of production lines, sanitation standards, HACCP checks, label auditing and weight checks
  • Completion and review of documentation
  • Assure proper execution of the Jennie-O Turkey Store HACCP, SQF, NTIS programs as well as company policies and procedures
  • Provide technical support and training to the plant in areas of USDA regulation compliance, process control program analysis investigation, product performance reporting, GMP's and food safety principles
