About The Position

The Senior Director, Business Development at Cytel is responsible for driving growth and profitability across assigned clients in the PBS/FSP sectors. This role involves strategic oversight of account plans, operational strategies, and governance of awarded projects, ensuring a positive client experience and adherence to project scopes and timelines.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in science or quantitative field, MBA or equivalent.
  • 10 years relevant work experience, preferably in Biostatistics, Programming, Data Management, Project Management.
  • 5 years management experience, with some in a CRO environment.
  • Strong client service focus and ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients at an executive level.
  • Leadership skills to build effective teams and motivate others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a CRO environment is preferred.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure an account plan is in place and executed to meet overall Cytel growth, revenue, and profitability targets for assigned clients.
  • Lead operational strategy, scoping, and profitability assessment for proposals in PBS/FSP.
  • Oversee bid pursuits including preparation, strategy, and staff attendance for proposals.
  • Provide operational oversight of awarded work in FSP and PBS to ensure consistent client experience and delivery within scope and profitability.
  • Govern and manage all Cytel services and products including PBS, FSP, RWA, Software, and Consulting.
