Requirements

  • No directly related experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, work, and clean respective positions of the patient tray line, dish machine, pots & pans, and cafeteria under the direct supervision of management.
  • Deliver patient trays and practice safe and sanitary habits while performing all assigned activities according to established standards.
  • Maintain a clean environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Interact with co-workers and guests, functioning as a team player and providing prompt, courteous service.
  • Assure that proper food handling, temperature readings, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Maintain excellent customer service while meeting guests' requests.
  • Retrieve dirty trays, clean all dishes to prepare for use, empty trash, and take trash carts to dumpster.
  • Complete required HACCP logs and handle food in a sanitary manner.
  • Maintain food at temperatures above 140 or below 41 degrees.
  • Complete Dish Machine log and Sanitizer log to meet Board of Health and Department standards.
  • Demonstrate effective customer service to fellow employees, customers, managers, and visitors.
  • Follow CARES standards at all times.
  • Maintain safety program within the department and ensure safety concerns are reported appropriately.
