About The Position

Support the fabrication and assembly of fiberglass tanks, sumps, and related products. Operate cutting, grinding, and layup tools to prepare and assemble composite materials. Assist in performing secondary bonding procedures and part installations. Follow instructions from operators and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely. Maintain accurate labeling, layout, and marking of parts and completed products. Ensure safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance within the plant. Promote a culture of quality, safety, and teamwork on the production floor. Cut fiberglass materials to size using hand tools, templates, and slitting or saw equipment. Operate a variety of tools and material handling equipment including grinders (4", 7", wet), saws, hoists, air movers, and jacks. Perform grinding, smoothing, patching, and installation tasks for seams, nozzles, manways, and other components. Mix resin and catalysts accurately for proper curing; wet out and roll materials during layup. Support layout and fitting of shells and parts per drawings and specifications. Conduct measurements, visual inspections, and quality checks; report issues to appropriate personnel. Control inventory and storage of fiberglass materials, rolls, and sheets. Assist with part and product preparation for shipment. Perform minor tool and equipment maintenance, cleaning tools and rollers regularly. Apply product markings, stencils, and labels according to specifications. Work in varying environmental conditions, including high noise and temperature extremes. Lift/move materials and components as required (up to 45 lbs). Wear a respirator for extended periods (8+ hours) as required by tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Physically able to meet job demands, including lifting, standing, and working in non-climate-controlled areas.
  • Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment.

  • Experience with fiberglass, composites, or layup techniques preferred.
