About The Position

Position Summary: The Frozen Foods Clerk is responsible for ensuring that the frozen foods section of the store is properly stocked, organized, and maintained. This role involves stocking, rotating, and displaying frozen products, as well as providing exceptional customer service. The Frozen Foods Clerk plays an integral role in maintaining the store’s frozen section while supporting overall store operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. General Purpose: The general purpose of the Frozen Foods Clerk is to maintain the frozen food section, ensuring products are organized, easy to access, and stored correctly at the proper temperature. The role also involves assisting customers with product inquiries, providing a high level of customer service, and ensuring that frozen food offerings meet quality and safety standards.

Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred, but not required.
Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work efectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in cold environments.
Availability: Must be available to work ?exible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Teamwork: Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring proper product placement and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

Stocking & Organization: Stock and rotate frozen food products in freezers and aisles, ensuring proper product placement and organization.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and assist in restocking items, while notifying management of inventory shortages or low stock.
Customer Service: Assist customers with locating products, answering questions, and offering product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
Frozen Section Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain the frozen food aisles and freezers, ensuring products are stored at appropriate temperatures and that freezers are closed properly.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed on frozen food offerings, new products, and promotional sales to effectively communicate with customers.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all food safety standards and health regulations are followed in storing and handling frozen items.
Pricing & Labeling: Ensure all frozen products are accurately priced and labeled, including sales tags or promotional signage.
Other duties as assigned: Work closely with other store departments to maintain a smooth workflow and ensure the store operates efficiently by helping in all areas of the store as needed.
