About The Position

The Frozen Food Supervisor provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service as a primary contact for customers. This role involves placing individual items on shelves in specific locations, facing merchandise, and maintaining the quality condition of all frozen grocery products. The supervisor is responsible for checking temperatures in cold cases, coolers, and freezers, ensuring clear walkways in aisles, and may occasionally function as a cashier/checker. The position also includes assisting the Grocery Manager in directing the operation of the frozen food department, supervising and training personnel, and maintaining inventory control.

Requirements

• Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
• Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
• Successful completion of all company training courses.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Basic math skills to calculate prices and make change.
• Ability to handle all forms of tender.
• Knowledge of products, product pricing, and store layout.
• Must be 18 years old and able to operate bailer and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in directing the operation of the frozen food department.
• Supervise and train personnel.
• Maintain the quality condition of all frozen grocery products.
• Stock, rotate, and face products; discard out of code and spoiled products.
• Clean and maintain shelves.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, storing, stocking, and building displays.
• Encourage and maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness.
• Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Assist with grocery department merchandising and building displays.
